Mike Vradenburg Extremely hot afternoons had most anglers out fishing before the sun was up. Good catches were reported for Trout, Catfish, Crappie, and Bass. Anglers were fishing around the lake and along the shoreline in the coves, submerged trees, and rock outcroppings.

Let me share a little good news before getting deeper into this report. The state of North Carolina is suspending the requirement for fishing licenses on July the Fourth to celebrate the birth of our country. This is for both saltwater and freshwater fishing.
