Navy rescues boat going to Ashmore Reef

The navy has rescued a group of suspected asylum seekers from a sinking boat in waters off northern Western Australia. Coastwatch spotted the boat 80 nautical miles (about 150km) from Ashmore Island while conducting routine plane patrols late on Wednesday.
